چکیده
Human epidermal growth factor receptor 2 (HER2) is a transmembrane tyrosine kinase protein, Positive HER2 status has been linked with aggressive tumor behavior and resistance to cytotoxic endocrine therapies. Breast cancer complex disease the major cause of mortality in women worldwide. There are several subtypes breast many options for treatment. This study aimed know hormonal changes associated HER2+ve pre postmenopausal Iraqi women. included 80 healthy 78 newly diagnosed patients, 35 43 premenopausal. Depending on test patients were divided into two groups, positive negative. The group was adopted negative excluded. Our result shows that there significant decrease progesterone non-significant increase Estradiol, FSH, LH premenopausal but estradiol, +ve patients. TSH within normal range both compared control group. relationship between progesterone, test. Also, TSH, FSH. And

Development of RNA aptamers as molecular probes for HER2+ breast cancer study using cell-SELEX
Objective(s): Development of molecules that specifically recognize cancer cells is one of the major areas in cancer research. Human epidermal growth factor receptor 2 (HER2) is specifically expressed on the surface of breast cancer cells. HER2 is associated with an aggressive phenotype and poor prognosis. In this study we aimed to isolate RNA aptamers that specifically bind to HER2 overexpressi...
متن کاملHER2-Positive Breast Cancer
• Objective: To review the diagnosis and management of HER2-positive breast cancer. • Methods: Qualitative review of the literature. • Results: Amplification of HER2 occurs in 20% to 25% of breast cancers and is associated with highgrade tumors that are poorly differentiated and have higher rates of recurrence. Trastuzumab, a recombinant humanized monoclonal antibody against the extracellular d...
متن کاملAnalysis of HER2 gene amplification using Differential PCR in breast cancer patients of Isfahan Province
Background: Amplification of HER2 is seen in 20-30% of breast cancer cases. Measurement of HER2 gene amplification appears to be of vital importance in planning the treatment schedule for patients with breast carcinoma. The aim of our study was to evaluate HER2 amplification status in malignant and benign breast tumors by differential PCR (dPCR). Materials and Methods: The genomic DNA was ex...
متن کاملOptimization of Real Time PCR for Precise Measurement of HER2 Overexpression in Breast Cancer Specimens
Background: Breast cancer is one of the most prevalent malignancies among women in various countries. HER2 overexpression, which is due to different reasons, occurs in 20-30% of breast cancers. HER2 gene encodes an 185kDa transmembrane glycoprotein with 1255 amino acids. This active product triggers downstream intracellular signaling pathways inducing cell proliferation and cell survival. These...
